Both chefs have Michelin-starred restaurants in London and will personally be available for hire at private events.
Chefs Phil Howard and Mark Kempson have joined the Cotswold-based catering company Cygnet Catering.
Under the partnership, the chef patron of the Michelin-starred Elystan Street in London’s Chelsea and the head chef of the Michelin-starred Kitchen W8 in Kensington will be available for hire for a mix of corporate occasions, private parties and family events.
Howard and Kempson will also be involved in devising menus tailored to guests’ requests, flexible to “most budgets”, with capacity ranging from 10 to 250 people.
Furthermore, Kempson has suggested he could host shoot parties based on his experience cooking game.
Cygnet Catering was founded in 2022 by Steve Cook, the landlord of the Swan Inn in Swinbrook, Oxfordshire, which holds two AA rosettes.
Cook has also recently acquired the lease for the Golden Cross inn in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.
Cook said: “I came up with the idea [of the partnership] after working with Phil when he was the special guest chef for a sold-out evening at the Swan and the feedback so positive I sounded Phil [Howard] out about the idea.
“With two titans of the industry at the helm we believe we have something that is unique of great quality and affordable. We have had a huge response to the news since we launched the website, with weddings and private dining parties especially popular.”
Kempson added: “I am delighted to be part of the team at Cygnet Catering, bringing Michelin-starred food to the Cotswolds for all your events, large or small. We offer a bespoke and personal service that is tailored to your needs. I truly believe this will make your experience extra special.”
Howard commented: “Having the opportunity to offer some wonderful and seasonal menus using stunning local produce in one of the most beautiful areas in the country feels like a privilege to a chef who has been confined to London for his entire career.”
