André Garrett, executive chef of Cliveden House in Berkshire, has announced the appointment of Paul O'Neill as head chef of restaurant André Garrett.
O'Neill started his culinary career in 2001 at Claridge's in London as a commis chef for room service, the bar and restaurant. Junior positions followed at the Angel Hotel in Midhurst and the Chequers Inn, in Rowhook, West Sussex.
In 2013, O'Neill won the Roux Scholarship and has since held roles at Berwick Lodge Hotel's Hattusa Restaurant in Bristol, Ashdown Park Hotel in East Sussex, the Ostrich in Colnbrook, Berkshire, Felbridge Hotel in East Sussex, and the Goodwood Hotel in Chichester.
He joins Cliveden next month to head up the 68-seat André Garrett restaurant, which was awarded three AA rosettes in the AA Restaurant Guide 2018.
