Stevie Parle's Pastaio Westfield closes after two years

Stevie Parle has closed his restaurant Pastaio restaurant in the Westfield London shopping centre after two years of trading.

An announcement on behalf of the chef said that all staff have been offered jobs at the original Pastaio restaurant on Soho’s Ganton Street, which remains open.

The 145-cover restaurant opened in 2020 across two floors of a space in Westfield London’s Southern Terrace and featured two open kitchens with a design overseen by Tom Dixon.

Speaking to The Caterer ahead of the opening, Parle said trading at Westfield was a chance to introduce the concept to a wider audience.

The chef closed his Joy at Portobello restaurant, retail and music space at Portobello Dock in 2021 after a year of trading.

Parle's former London restaurant projects include Dock Kitchen, Craft London, Rotorino and Sardine.
