A look at the latest restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars to open their doors.

Pantechnicon

Pantechnicon is a Japanese/Nordic dining and retail concept behind a Grade II-listed facade on Montcomb Street in London’s Belgravia.

The venue contains more than 150 Japanese and Nordic fashion brands as well as a pan-Nordic restaurant and bar, a Japanese cocktail lounge and restaurant, a roof garden bar and terrace, a Japanese bottle shop and bar and the UK’s first permanent outlet of Café Kitsuné, serving Japanese-inspired pastries and lunches, including caramel miso rice pudding brioche, melon pan and sandos.

A gallery space hosts Sachi, a 30-cover pop-up spot for lunch and dinner, offering Japanese dishes including seven-spice chicken and agedashi dofu. The pop-up is a preview of the permanent 100-cover Sachi restaurant, bar, cocktail lounge and street terrace, opening in spring 2021.

Sakaya, a bar and boutique bottle shop, offers Japanese barware, whisky, umeshu and sake selected by Natsuki Kikuya. On the second floor is Eldr, a 70-cover restaurant with a menu focusing on pickling, foraging and cooking with fire. And on the third and top floor is a 130-cover roof garden bar and terrace with a retractable electric glass roof and a menu from the kitchen at Eldr.
