Hyde London City marks the Ennismore-owned brand’s fifth opening and its first foray into the UK market.
Ennismore is set to open Hyde London City, the hospitality company’s first Hyde property in the UK, on 2 September.
It comes after plans for the £34.3m relaunch of 15 Old Bailey were announced in January 2022, with an initial completion date for what was then known as Hyde Paradox Hotel London City set for 2023.
The seven-storey hotel, which is housed in the Grade II-listed Old Bailey building, will offer 111 bedrooms alongside modern Turkish restaurant Leydi and subterranean cocktail bar Black Lacquer.
Hyde London City will also showcase the Headliner Suite, which is set in the eaves of the building and features five-metre-high ceilings, botanical motifs and its own marble-topped bar.
The ground-floor restaurant will offer mezze, home-baked pide, Mangal-grilled meat and free-flowing raki, while the cocktail bar will offer Tokyo-style plates, a daily-changing playlist and a cultural programme with emerging DJs and artists.
Room rates will start from £230.
The nightlife led Hyde brand started in 2005 as the Hyde Lounge on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip before expanding into Beach Clubs, Mixology Lounges and Hyde Hotels and Residences.
Hyde hotels currently operates sites in Dubai, Miami, Ibiza and Bodrum and is also due to launch a site in Perth, Australia.
Ennismore was founded in 2011 by Sharan Pasricha, who won the International Outstanding Achievement Award at this year’s Cateys.
The company entered a joint venture with Accor, which holds a majority shareholding, in 2021.
