English sparkling wine producer Nyetimber is the official sparkling wine of Team GB for next year’s Paris Olympics Games.
Limited edition Team GB Nyetimber bottles will be gifted to athletes and medallists post-competition. Bottles will also be supplied at the Team GB Ball in 2023 and 2024, which is a celebration of Team GB’s achievements past and present.
Nyetimber, whose grapes come from its 11 vineyards across West Sussex, Hampshire, and Kent, will be the exclusive sparkling wine at the team’s hospitality venue in Paris, named Team GB House.
Nyetimber’s CEO and Owner, Eric Heerema, said: “We are delighted to be the official sparkling wine of Team GB at Paris 2024.
“At Nyetimber, we proudly champion the best of British and appreciate that just like nurturing our vines and wines takes years of patience and uncompromising attention to detail, the same passion and determination can also be recognised in each Team GB athlete.”
Tim Ellerton, commercial director at Team GB, added: “The Olympic Games are a celebration in themselves, and ensuring Team GB athletes are recognised for their extraordinary efforts is an important part of what we do.
“We are delighted to be welcoming Nyetimber, as a leading British brand, to the Team GB family to support us in celebrating the team for Paris 2024.”
The new partnership adds to Nyetimber’s portfolio of supporting British sport; in August this year, it announced a new partnership with the Tour of Britain, the UK’s biggest professional cycle race. It has also supported the Queen’s Championships, and Epsom Derby.
Nyetimber is stocked in various bars, restaurants and hotels, including Annabel’s, the Savoy, and Raffles London at The Old War Office. Last year, Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Hakkasan announced a joint-summer partnership with the sparkling wine producer, complete with a new set menu.
