Digital hospitality platform picks up the aparthotel brand from Native Holdings.
Digital hospitality operator Numa Group has acquired 100% of Native Places, the short-stay business division of Native Holdings, for an undisclosed price.
Native Residential will continue as part of Native Holdings and will be focused on growing as an operator of build-to-rent, co-living, mixed use and commercial assets under the leadership of group founder Guy Nixon.
London-headquartered lifestyle aparthotel and serviced apartment business Native Places currently has over 800 units. Its assets range from small to medium-scale serviced apartment buildings in London under the Apartment Collection brand to larger-scale Native aparthotels in London, Manchester (pictured), Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Numa believes its acquisition of Native Places marks a logical continuation of its growth strategy across Europe, where it is focusing on hotel and commercial properties in the continent’s major cities for conversion to digitalised hotels.
The digital hospitality platform recently reached €2bn in real estate assets under management and manages over 6,500 rooms and apartments across 34 major cities in 14 European countries. Native Places’ estate will bring Numa’s property portfolio to more than 7,300 units.
Christian Gaiser, CEO and co-founder of Numa Group, said: “We aim to establish a leading position in the UK’s premier cities, with London being the number one European hospitality market. Thanks to Native Places, we will gain access to a very strong brand recognised by leisure and business travellers.
“This collaboration marks another significant step forward in Numa’s ambition to expand across Europe and secure a dominant foothold in the UK market.”
Olivia Immesi, who was promoted from managing director to CEO of Native Places at the beginning of this year, has played a significant role in the acquisition process and will maintain her leadership role as the company joins the Numa Group.
