Northcote's Obsession 2024 chef line-up revealed

Obsession, the annual fine dining festival at Northcote in Lancashire, has announced its full line-up of chefs for the 2024 event.

Nineteen chefs, whose restaurants hold 19 Michelin stars between them, will cook at the Ribble Valley hotel between 19 January and 4 February next year.

Gareth Ward, Lorna Mcnee, Aktar Islam, and Emily and Michel Roux are among the names who will host special evenings during the festival.

Each chef will cook a unique menu for the event with some dishes that will not be available anywhere else.

Last year, the event raised over £70,000 for industry charity Hospitality Action, which will be the beneficiary again this year.

Guests at Northcote executive chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen’s night will taste a preview of her early 2024 Gourmet Menu, which will remain on offer for a limited time throughout February.

Obsession launched in 2001 and has become an internationally renowned event with a waiting list of thousands of people hoping to attend.

Goodwin-Allen, who is also director of the Game Bird and American Bar at the Stafford, London hotel, said; “Each year we approach Obsession with a view of ‘how can we equal last year’s event’ and it always seems like an impossible task.

“But I have to say I’m extremely excited for this year’s line-up. We have a range of styles of cooking- diverse, traditional, progressive, highly technical - and it’s packed with personality.”

Tickets will go on sale on 6 October 2023 and are priced at £210 per person, including a Louis Roederer Champagne and canapé reception, five course menu, coffee, and petit fours. A specially paired wine flight can be added, starting from around £70 per person.
