Niall Kingston, currently hotel manager at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Great Milton, is to become general manager of the Oxfordshire property following the departure of Eveline Noort.
Noort has accepted a new role in Munich and is set to move at the end of February after more than three years at the helm of the five red-AA-starred, 32-bedroom property, a Belmond hotel which holds two Michelin stars. She joined in September 2018 having previously been hotel general manager for nearly two years at Le Meridien Piccadilly London.
Chef Raymond Blanc, who founded the property in 1984, said Noort’s “dedication, intelligence and strength” had put the hotel in a position “for a positive future”.
Following Noort’s departure, Kingston will be promoted after nearly three years at the property. He joined the hotel in 2019 having previously worked as a deputy general manager with Killarney Hotels in Ireland and food and beverage consultant at Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver, Canada.
Blanc said he was “incredibly proud” of Kingston’s promotion and said it was “a role that he has already excelled in, he has all of the natural skills and is ready for the challenges ahead”.
He added that he was looking forward to working with Kingston on the future of Le Manoir with “many plans already afoot”.
The hotel is also recruiting for a director of operations.
