The Mirabelle restaurant at the five-AA-star, 152-bedroom Grand hotel in Eastbourne has reopened following a £200,000 refurbishment.
Featuring a new blue, grey and gold colour palette reflecting the beach opposite, the two-AA-rosette restaurant is moving into a new era following the appointment of Stephanie Malvoisin as head chef last year.
Malvoisin joined the hotel after spending three years as head chef as Laura Ahsley The Manor hotel in Elstree, Hertfordshire, having earlier worked at the Goring hotel in London for seven years.
Jonathan Webley, general manager of the Grand hotel, said: "The refurbishment of the Mirabelle restaurant has brought it up to date, with a fresh, modern design that's still in-keeping with the luxurious and historic grandeur of the rest of the hotel.
"The new look of the restaurant perfectly complements the exciting menus being created by head chef Stephanie Malvoisin, which put a fresh interpretation on classic dishes".
The Grand hotel is owned by Elite Hotels and is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
