Nespresso Professional has launched a brand-new industry competition, the Nespresso Professional Chef Academy Competition, and is challenging chefs from across the hospitality industry to explore what an elevated, sustainable dish looks like to them.
As a recently certified B-Corp businesses, Nespresso Professional is encouraging forward-thinking entries that will showcase the future of the HORECA industry. The chefs will have to create a dish that also pairs best with a Nespresso Professional Origins coffee based on tasting notes.
Nespresso is looking for dishes to the competition, which take inspiration from organic or local produce, vegan ingredients or items acquired through foraging. The dish could also include working with sustainable suppliers to avoid waste and minimise plastic-use from their supply chain.
Entrants will have until Monday 5th September to submit their dishes via a dedicated landing page. Nespresso Professional, Chef Judges and independent judging bodies will then shortlist 20 chefs, which will then be submitted to a public vote via the Nespresso Professional website.
Anton Manganaro, executive chef at BAFTA and award-winning chef Andy Beynon will use the public vote selections to inform and review their judging of the entries in order to select their top six chef finalists.

The live competition finals will take place at Sauce by the Langham in London on Monday 3rd October.
