Neil Rippington has been appointed chair of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts’ (RACA) Education Committee.
Rippington (pictured right) previously held senior education roles at University College Birmingham, Colchester Institute, Sparsholt College, and Harvard University.
He is also international director of global education at the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM), senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a subject expert with government exam regulator Ofqual, and an honorary member and principal examiner for skills development organisation City and Guilds.
He also works on vocational education and apprenticeships at the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education.
Announcing the news on Instagram, the RACA said: “We are looking forward to working alongside Neil and are grateful for his continued support of the academy and his dedication to continuing the academy’s role and responsibility in this area – the academy’s biggest focus.”
The RACA offers education and training initiatives across all ages and stages of development, ranging from school children to established hospitality professionals.
