Montgomery Group launches Hospitality Lockdown Hero Awards

The Montgomery Group, the organisers of Hotel, Restaurant & Catering (HRC), the Independent Hotel and Pub show, has launched its own Hospitality Lockdown Hero Awards.

The awards, in partnership with Hospitality Action, Hospitality Proud and Hospitality Jobs UK, will celebrate the industry’s most pioneering, innovative and dynamic individuals and businesses.

The categories include:

• The Most Inspiring Product or Service Award – celebrating a product or service that has made a significant contribution to supporting hospitality businesses during lockdown
• The Most Impactful Social Media Campaign Award – honouring a positive and successful use of social media in extraordinary circumstances
• Best Community Initiative Award – honouring a campaign that has gone the extra mile to support their community during lockdown.
• The Outstanding Individual of Lockdown Award – recognising an individual who has been influential and has made a significant contribution during lockdown.

HRC event manager Ronda Annesley said: “We have been in awe of the resilience, innovation and kindness that we have seen from so many individuals and businesses within our industry over the past few months, and with hospitality reopening from 4 July, our awards are an homage to those that went above and beyond to help and support others in such difficult times – an opportunity to receive the recognition they truly deserve.”

The awards will be judged by a panel of industry experts, as well as the hospitality community.
