A look at the latest restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars to open their doors.
The opening of the Mondrian Shoreditch in east London marks the brand’s return to the capital following a significant refurbishment of the former Curtain hotel by interior design studio Goddard Littlefair.
The 120-bedroom property, which includes 13 suites, will play host to artistic pop-ups and live performances in the Screening Room.
The hotel will have a number of food and beverage options, including Christina’s, an all-day dining and drinking venue on the ground floor, and Bibo Shoreditch, chef Dani García’s first restaurant in the UK, located on the lower ground floor and with an open-kitchen tapas bar. An all-day dining room will serve dishes including pulled oxtail brioche with mushroom, DG sauce and rocket; a Russian salad with potato, extra virgin olive oil mayo, tuna belly, fried quail eggs and garlic chips; and jamón croquetas.
Guests will have access to the rooftop Altitude at the Curtain for breakfast, with the space reserved for private members for the rest of the day.
