One of the original apprentices at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant, who went missing last October, has been found dead.
The body of missing chef Kevin Boyle, 26, was discovered in a back garden in south London.
News of Boyle's death has left Jamie Oliver "deeply saddened", according to the BBC.
Boyle was reported missing from Purley, south London in October and his body was found in Coulsdon on Sunday. His death is being treated as "unexplained", a spokesman for Scotland Yard said.
Jamie Oliver trained Boyle as part of the Channel 4 series Jamie's Kitchen in 2002. Oliver said: "I am proud to have been able to call Kevin a friend for 10 years and he was also a constant supporter of Fifteen and all the apprentices and graduates who came after him through the course."
Boyle had most recently worked at Vinoteca in Clerkenwell.
A post-mortem examination is set to take place in Croydon on Wednesday.
