Zarfeen Group & Investments has bought the Grade II listed Milford Hall Hotel and Spa in Salisbury.
The guide price for the property was £3.5m and the sale was brokered by Colliers on behalf of Hughes Hotels, which has owned Milford Hall Hotel since 1998.
Part of Milford Hall Hotel dates back to the 1800s. It now includes a wedding venue, a function room with 130 covers, a 30 cover restaurant and space for private dining.
Simon Hughes, managing director of Hughes Hotels, said: “During 25 years of ownership we have taken Milford Hall from a small local hotel in Salisbury, and through extensions and improvements have made it a well-respected business with a boutique spa on site. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff. As I now move into retirement, we wish the new owners every success in their stewardship of Milford Hall.”
Zarfeen Jetha of Zarfeen Group & Investments added: “We were really impressed with the strong trade and reputation of the hotel that has been developed over the last 25 years. We’re expanding our horizons and experience of the hospitality industry and are looking forward to getting to know the team and clients of Milford Hall.”
Ed Jefferson from Colliers said: “Milford Hall Hotel is a strong business which Hughes Hotels has grown and diversified over the years. Demand for hotels with multiple income opportunities like this one is high, we’ve had a lot of interest from a wide range of buyers and are pleased to celebrate this sale with Simon.”
Zarfeen Group is a privately owned hospitality group that formed in 2007 with a focus on the roadside sector and the hotel market.
