Meiko Green Solutions has launched Biomaster, a sustainable food waste treatment solution which takes all food waste including cooking oils and fats and bones, creating a biomass product that is pumped to holding tanks for collection.
This biomass is then used to create energy, providing a sustainable return, alongside big labour savings as the system replaces bins and stops staff needing to take the food waste outside in bags. It also means there is no need to repeatedly sanitize bins, clean up spills and waste storage areas; with additional savings on bin bags.
BioMaster4 Highline is a powerful input station for all kitchen scraps and food waste in medium to large kitchens. It is 700mm wide, features a 40-litre hopper, feed pump rate of 80 litres/minute, and can process up to 1,000Kg per hour in batch operation.
The BioMaster4 Plus is the same size as the Highline model but is designed for small to medium kitchens and BioMaster4 Slim is ideal where kitchens are tight on space. At just 450mm wide, with a 30-litre hopper, feed pump rate of 45 litres/minute, and processes up to 500Kg per hour in batch operation.
Pumped waste systems can be retrofitted into existing kitchens and are easy and safe for staff to use. They also save on kitchen floor space by removing the need for bins and get rid of any issues with foul odours, pests and rodents.
