Wood will continue in his role as Lexington managing director and take on responsibility for B&I at Elior
Lexington managing director Matt Wood has been promoted to lead parent company Elior’s B&I business.
In the new role Wood will continue to run the Lexington business while also driving the wider Elior B&I division.
Elior said that the move would serve to “unify the exceptional quality and experience of both brands”.
To assist his efforts to merge best practice between the brands while maintaining their individual identities, Wood has promoted Calum McLaren from operations director to regional managing director for Elior UK.
The move follows a period of growth for Lexington, which now employs 1,400 people serving some 10 million meals annually. In recognition of his efforts Wood has been shortlisted for the Foodservice Caterer Award at the 2024 Cateys.
Wood said: “I am delighted to embrace Elior into my B&I portfolio. Between Lexington and Elior we have a wealth of resources and drive to reimagine B&I catering. We have already taken great strides and this collaborative approach to leadership will only strengthen our capabilities to spearhead change.
“The Lexington brand is very important to me and I’m proud of the progress our team has made. I’m really looking forward to continuing to deliver great benefits for our Lexington client base, whilst being able to blaze new trails for Elior.”
