Procter & Gamble’s away-from-home division P&G Professional has announced that celebrated chef, restaurateur and television presenter Marcus Wareing is its new brand ambassador.
As part of his ambassador role, the Michelin-star chef will help promote P&G’s professional ranges including Fairy, Flash, Lenor and Ariel as he aims to demonstrate the importance of a clean and hygienic environment when running a hospitality business.
On the appointment, Wareing said: “I’m delighted to be partnering with P&G Professional; it is so important to use products in any restaurant that can be trusted to get the job done right the first time, and overcome even the toughest professional challenges.”
Berat Onur, cluster sales lead at P&G Professional said: “We are delighted with the partnership – Marcus is known for his work ethic and attention to detail, something which is reflected in P&G Professional’s brand ethos.”
The news of his new ambassador role comes as Wareing, who received his first Michelin-star aged 26, announced last month that he plans to close his Michelin-starred restaurant Marcus at the Berkeley hotel in Knightsbridge by the end of December. He stated, “it’s now time for me to move on”, before adding he will update the industry on a “new and exciting chapter” for 2024.
