Maciej Lesiewicz has been appointed restaurant manager of Sally Abé’s the Pem restaurant in the Conrad London St James hotel, following the departure of Emma Underwood.
General manager Underwood had been part of Abé’s opening team for the restaurant, which is inspired by the suffragette movement. It is understood Underwood has taken an opportunity with a new hospitality project currently under development.
Lesiewicz joins the restaurant after working across Jason Atherton’s portfolio of London restaurant’s including Pollen Street Social, Little Social and the Biltmore Hotel. Prior to this he worked at the Square in Mayfair and Nathan Outlaw’s Outlaw’s at the Capital.
He said: “I believe The Pem is outstanding and I’m incredibly proud to have joined the team and to be able to work alongside an incredible chef like Sally Abé. I really pride myself on a personal service, and I can’t wait to meet all of our guests and give them the full Pem experience.”
Abé added: “All of us here at the Pem are very excited to have Maciej starting with us. He comes from a great background with a very impressive CV, and I know the restaurant and our guests will be in great hands with him.”
