Family-owned Catalunyan restaurant, bar and deli Lunya in Liverpool is moving to a new location on the corner of College Lane and Hanover Street as part of the business's expansion plans.
Relocating from its current home, which opened in 2010 on College Lane in the Liverpool One shopping complex, the business will reopen in a new 5,500 sq ft site next month, which will allow it to increase is covers from 140 to 160.
Lunya's new location will provide the brand with a shop front on Hanover Street and offer a more integrated dining, bar and deli room. The restaurant and bar will serve Spanish food in a relaxed and informal setting, with an array of Spanish wines, spirits, beers and gins.
The new Hanover Street location will also allow Lunya to consolidate its business, expanding the range available in its deli and increasing the number of events, which range from wine and food tasting evenings to gin experiences.
Founders Elaine and Peter Kinsella are injecting a £150,000 investment into the new site and will create 10 additional jobs, taking the workforce up to 55. The move will happen in early October.
Elaine Kinsella said: "Although we and our customers love our existing site in Liverpool One, an opportunity arose with a new location offering all the extra space and facilities that was just too good to miss."
Alison Clegg, director of asset management at real estate firm Grosvenor Europe, added: "Lunya is a great success story and we are delighted to be accommodating their growth."
The brand opened a Manchester site in 2015.
