Luke Selby and brothers to launch 12-cover chef's table in Soho's Evelyn’s Kitchen

Luke Selby, along with brothers Nathaniel and Theo, are to take the helm of a 12-seat chef’s table in Evelyn’s Kitchen beneath the Blue Posts pub in London’s Soho.

Roux scholar and National Chef of the Year winner Luke was previously head chef of Ollie Dabbous' Hide, overseeing the first-floor tasting menu when it was awarded a Michelin star in the 2019 Guide. His brothers were part of his brigade at the Mayfair restaurant and the three later took up a piracy-inspired residency at the Hilton Seychelles.

The latest move will see the three take on the space owned by the Palomar Group, which is behind the Soho restaurant of the same name as well as the Barbary, Jacob the Angel and the Mulwray. The chefs will offer a five-course tasting menu across two sittings an evening, showcasing British produce while incorporating French and Japanese influences.

Luke said: “The move to Evelyn’s Table was a natural step for myself, Nat and Theo. After leaving Hide, I wanted my next project to be a small cover restaurant focusing on the best quality ingredients, and Evelyn’s Table working with [the group’s founders] Zoë and Layo Paskin was the perfect fit.”

Luke was named the Craft Guild's National Chef of the Year 2018 and Roux Scholar in 2017. He also featured on the 2019 series of BBC Two's Great British Menu, making it to the banquet.

Away from competitions the chef honed his craft working under Gary Jones and Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons and Clare Smyth and Matt Abé at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.
