London hotels reported a strong performance in June with the highest revenue per available room (revpar) and average daily rate (ADR) for the month on record, according to preliminary figures from data company STR.
Revpar and ADR increased by 15.7% to £159.95 and 11.3% to £178.20 respectively.
Occupancy was also up by 4% to 89.76%, while a 5.7% increase in demand for rooms outstripped the 1.7% growth in supply.
STR analysts said the figures were boosted by the holding of several major events in the capital during June, including the European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers Conference, IFSEC International and Global Offshore Wind 2019.
STR will release its full June results alter this month.
