Locke, the lifestyle brand from the Serviced Apartment Company (SACO), has opened its second aparthotel in Edinburgh.
Eden Locke on Edinburgh's George Street follows the launch of Leman Locke, which opened in Whitechapel, London, last year.
The six-storey, 72-bedroom former townhouse has been transformed and restored by New York architects Grzywinski+Pons, combining the original features of the Georgian listed property with a monochrome and pastel palette and bursts of colour.
Rooms revolve around Locke's bespoke L-shaped sofas, while kitchens are fully-equipped with utensils, dishes and a dishwasher. Every room offers cocktail kits, natural body care from Locke's own brand Kinsey Apothecary, as well as teas from T2 and organic, wholegrain granola from Rude Health.
Open for guests as well as non-residents, the hotel also features Hyde & Son, a coffee bar by day and wine and cocktail bar by night. The space offers coffees, teas and juices alongside freshly-made cakes and pastries from local artisan bakery Grams, as well as wines, cocktails and local craft spirits and beers, including an exclusively brewed beer from local craft brewers Harviestoun.
Eric Jafari, Locke development managing director, said: "We're honoured for Edinburgh to be the home of our second Locke. At Eden Locke, we're blending together the best of a serviced apartment with the best of a boutique hotel. This city is a natural destination for our concept: historic, progressive, creative, understated and dynamic - much like we aspire Eden Locke to be."
