Laura Christie, co-founder of London’s Oklava restaurant, and former Opera Tavern chef Chris Boustead have reopened their wine shop and restaurant Linden Stores in Audlem, Cheshire.
The pair launched Linden Stores in London in 2017 but closed the site in early 2020 after deciding to relocate outside the capital.
Their new restaurant seats 20 covers and serves a selection of wines and seasonal British dishes.
Christie is originally from the Wirral and Boustead from Scarborough, and the restaurant is named after a street he grew up on. The menu draws inspiration from the heartier flavours of his childhood with dishes including black pudding scotch egg with tomato chutney; crisp pork belly, pork fat potato cake, charred cabbage; and chocolate and peanut butter tart with vanilla crème fraîche.
Christie will run wine tastings and classes throughout the year and Linden Stores also offers wines and hampers for local delivery and collection.
