Les Routiers to list SRA ratings on its website

The Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) has teamed up with eating out guide Les Routiers UK & Ireland, which will highlight establishments' sustainability credentials on its website.

Les Routiers is the second guide to partner with the SRA after Harden's, which lists the organisation's ratings for restaurants that have been rated both in print and online. Giles Coren of The Times remains the only national food critic to list SRA ratings in his reviews.

Commenting on the deal with Les Routiers, Mark Linehan, managing director of the SRA, said: "Diners tell us that given the choice they would prefer to eat at a restaurant that serves local, seasonal high welfare food, manages its waste, water and energy efficiently and engages responsibly with its staff, customers and community. Now diners have the means to make that informed choice."

Allie Philpin, marketing executive at Les Routiers, added: "Sustainability and our environment are key aspects for many of our members when choosing where to dine. Our partnership with the SRA will go a long way towards enabling them to make that choice. We very much look forward to working with the SRA in promoting sustainability in our restaurants and other establishments."

Les Routiers and the SRA will provide a 10% discount on the annual membership fee for members of each other's organisation. More than 250 restaurants have been rated by the SRA and a further 250 are currently going through the process.
