All the restaurant and hotel openings from this week's issue
White City House
Soho House's White City House has opened in the former BBC headquarters in west London. White City House has two floors of club space, a rooftop pool and bar, cinema, screening room, a 24,000 sq ft gym, and 45 bedrooms within the building's original Grade II-listed central ring.
The design has been inspired by the history of the building. The rooftop pool and bar feature a Terrazzo tile floor, curved bar and 60s-inspired sun loungers and parasols.
The open kitchen serves an East-meets-West menu, including dim sum and roast duck, as well as healthy and plant-based dishes. The main eating space overlooks White City, with mid-century-style tables and chairs and a bar with furniture and fabrics by Tibor, which designed patterns for the BBC.
Bedrooms range from tiny to large over the second and third floor of the Helios building. Each room has George Nelson lamps, mid-century Terrazzo tables and reading lights, fluted timber wardrobes and modernist wooden minibars, with original exposed concrete support beams on the ceilings.
The ground floor restaurant of White City House, the Allis, is open to the public.
