The Hansom
The St Pancras Renaissance hotel has relaunched its central public space as the Hansom, a ‘laid-back hangout' by day and a cocktail bar at night.
The Hansom features a central marble bar with dark brass and leather detailing, surrounded by modern furnishings, Victorian lampposts and a palette of greens and blues, with the large space broken up by screens.
The cocktail menu nods to the hotel's heritage as the original Hansom cab drop-off for St Pancras Station passengers in the 1800s. Cocktails include the Angel & Bragget Alehouse Flip, dedicated to the Alehouse Act and the Beerhouse Act passed in the early 1800s; and Livingstone's Boatswain, paying homage to Victorian explorer David Livingstone. The menu also includes a range of low-alcohol cocktails and mocktails.
