Latest openings: Cornerstone, Hide, Roux at the Landau and more

All the restaurant and hotel openings from this week's issue

Cornerstone
Nathan Outlaw protégé Tom Brown has opened his debut restaurant, Cornerstone, in London's Hackney Wick. Named after his favourite Arctic Monkeys track, Cornerstone offers a regularly changing sharing menu using British produce.

The restaurant offers a 22-bin international wine list, home-infused cocktails, local craft beer and Cornerstone's signature gin and tonic, using cloudy apple juice-distilled gin from Cornish distillery the Wrecking Coast.

The interiors take a minimal approach to materials and lighting, with a central kitchen that doubles up as a counter-bar, seating 11 guests. There is also a 10-seat, 5,000-year-old oak table, commissioned from wood salvaged from a river in Croatia. The lounge area at the front of the restaurant is furnished with high-back benches from Ercol.
