Joanna Barnett has been named general manager of Fairmont Windsor Park.

She takes over from Ryan Nicholls, who was general manager of the Arora Group hotel from March 2022 before being appointed project development director at the group’s head office.

Barnett joins the Arora Group property from the Grove, where she was most recently hotel manager. Barnett joined the Hertfordshire hotel in 2013, where she held roles such as director of events.

Prior to the Grove, she was at the Landmark London for 11 years, where she was events director and director of event sales.

Barnett began her career in the industry at the Savoy Group and the Berkeley in London.

Commenting on her new role, she said: “Fairmont Windsor Park represents a unique proposition within the luxury hospitality market. I look forward to working with the talented team to build on its wonderful offering and continue to deliver unforgettable moments for our guests.”

Surinder Arora, founder and chairman of the Arora Group, added: “We are delighted to welcome Joanna to the Fairmont Windsor Park and the Arora family. Our flagship property has had a successful 3 years since its opening, and we are delighted that Joanna is taking on the reigns to lead the fantastic team to truly cement the hotel’s position as of one of the best country house hotels in the UK.”

The 200-room Fairmont Windsor Park officially launched in January 2022 with a spa consisting of 18 treatment rooms and a Himalayan salt room, as well as a number of events spaces and a 20m indoor pool.
