JKS Restaurants to open Arcade Food Hall at Battersea Power Station

JKS Restaurants is to open a second Arcade Food Hall in London at the Battersea Power Station development in 2023.

The 24,000 sq ft space will include a standalone kiosk run by Taiwanese group Bao and an unnamed Thai restaurant brand, among others.

The original Arcade Food Hall opened under a different name in London’s Tottenham Court Road in 2019 but was relaunched by JKS this year with nine unique food brands serving a range of dishes including sushi, burgers, fried chicken, shawarma, and jelly desserts.

Karam Sethi, founder and creative director at JKS, said: “We will be creating a number of exciting new brands with showcase even more global cuisines, while also expanding and developing some of our existing Arcade brands, to create a food and drink destination south of the river worth travelling for.”

The second phase of the regeneration of the Grade II-listed Battersea Power Station opens this autumn and will include over 100 shops, restaurants, cafes, events venues, and a glass lift within the building’s famous chimneys.

PPHE is also due to open its first UK Art'otel, complete with rooftop swimming pool, at the scheme this year.

Restaurants including Francesco Mazzei’s Fiume, Gordon Ramsay’s Street Pizza and Vivek Singh’s Cinnamon Kitchen have already opened at the Circus West Village area of the development.

The entire eight-phase redevelopment of the site, which includes the Power Station surroundings, is estimated to cost £9b.

Sam Cotton, head of leasing at Battersea Power Station, said: “From the outset it has been our vision to place food and hospitality at the heart of Battersea Power Station. We cannot wait to see Arcade open to the public next year.”

JKS’ restaurant brands include Michelin-starred Gymkhana, Sabor, Kitchen Table and Lyle's in London.
