JJ Foodservice website relaunch drives record online orders

Wholesaler JJ Foodservice has said service improvements delivered by its website relaunch have seen a record 70% of customers ordering online, an 11% increase on the previous year.

Additionally, cashless customers who order and pay online have doubled over the past year from 3,000 to 6,000 a week.

To develop the online ordering experience JJ Foodservice has redeveloped its website so shopping baskets do not expire, giving caterers more time to place longer orders and search specific sub-categories such as vegan, sugar free and MSC.

Chief technology officer, Mick Dudley, said: “Moving customers online has helped us to improve efficiency and reduce costs, therefore enabling us to keep passing on savings to caterers.”

JJ Foodservice delivers from 11 wholesaler branches to cafes, hotels, quick service restaurants, schools and local authorities.
