Jason and Irha Atherton are set to open four new restaurants as the Social Company gears up to expand its presence in London.
Jason and Irha Atherton are set to expand the Social Company in London with the opening of four new restaurants.
As well as the previously announced Three Darlings on Chelsea’s Pavilion Road, the business is to open a new concept, Hot Dogs by Three Darlings in Harrods Dining Hall, along with British restaurant Sael at St James’ Market, and an as-yet unannounced fine dining destination in Mayfair.
The openings follow the closure of Pollen Street Social in March. At the time Atherton said: “The London dining scene is fast-paced and diners are looking for something a little different.”
Pollen Street Social executive Dale Bainbridge is to remain with the group to lead the kitchen at the 115-cover Sael, which will open at the former Aquavit site in St James’ Market this summer.
Meanwhile, Atherton is gearing up to announce a significant new fine dining launch in Mayfair.
Jason and Irha Atherton said: “After announcing the closure of Pollen Street Social in March, now feels like the right time to reveal our expansion of the Social Company in London. We think that these four very different offerings will each appeal and bring distinct culinary experiences to our guests. We’re also very excited to have Dale Bainbridge on board at launch.
“For us, London’s dining scene is one of the best in the world and the city’s diverse population and its appreciation for innovative dining experiences create an ideal environment for new culinary ventures to flourish.”
The Three Darlings restaurant is inspired by the couple’s three daughters, Keziah, Jemimah and Athena. Its launch will be overseen by Jason Atherton, with a casual menu featuring modern English cuisine combined with European influences.
Hot Dogs by Three Darlings will be a 25-cover concept launching in July. It will replace the Harrods Social restaurant in the department store, offering five different gourmet hot dogs, alongside fries, sundaes, milkshakes, martinis, Champagne, wine and beer.
Details of the highly anticipated new fine dining launch are expected to be revealed later this month.
