Temple and Sons, the City restaurant opened in partnership by Jason Atherton and Restaurant Associates (RA), has closed.
The chef-restaurateur launched the grill and deli restaurant in 2016 when it was the second restaurant to have opened through Atherton's consultancy with RA, the executive dining arm of Compass Group.
The first was the Michelin-starred City Social located next door to Temple and Sons in Tower 42.
In a joint statement about the closure, Atherton and RA said: "In order to focus on other areas of our ongoing partnership, we have taken the decision to close Temple and Sons.
"We are firm believers in chef and restaurant partnerships, championing exciting opportunities and we're looking forward to our continued work at Michelin-starred City Social and throughout other areas of the Restaurant Associates business."
A spokesperson for RA confirmed that the "small number" of staff at Temple and Sons have been offered other opportunities within the group.
Atherton, who has worked with RA since 2010, is among a stellar line-up of chef consultants to work with the business. Others include Albert Roux, his son Michel Roux Jr, and the latter's daughter Emily Roux, as well as NOPI's Ramael Scully.
Last month Sosharu, Atherton's Japaense restaurant in Clerkenwell, closed abruptly amid plans to relocate it.
