Jamie Oliver appeals for help to find missing Fifteen apprentice

TV chef and mentor Jamie Oliver has appealed for help in tracing one of the original apprentices at his Fifteen restaurant, who disappeared on 12 October.

Kevin Boyle, 26, made it to the final 30 of 1,500 people when he featured on the Fifteen project, set up to help disadvantaged young people in London, in 2002.

The missing chef, who has cooked for former prime minister Tony Blair, HRH Prince Charles at Clarence House, and worked at several high-end restaurants was last seen at 5.30pm on 12 October wearing a white shirt and black trousers.

In a statement, Oliver and his team they had become "concerned" about Boyle's whereabouts.

"Kevin has always been hugely supportive of apprentices and graduates moving from Fifteen into the catering industry," the statement said.

"Kevin attended the most recent Fifteen London graduation back in late September and was on very good form. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Kevin, please do ask him to get in touch. His family and his many friends are worried about him and simply want to hear that he's fine and that he's coming home."

According to www.findkevin.co.uk, a website designed to raise awareness abut his disappearance, Boyle has a history of depression. He is described as being 5ft 6in tall, of stocky build with receding fair hair. Anyone with information has been asked to contact the Metropolitan Police on 020 8649 0258 or www.findkevin.co.uk.
