Hyatt to launch in Beijing Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has launched the Park Hyatt Beijing, directly opposite the China World Trade Centre and new CCTV Tower. The hotel occupies the uppermost floors in the main tower of the Beijing Yintai Centre, which is the tallest development on Chang'an Avenue, in the heart of the capital's Central Business District. The hotel has 237 deluxe guestrooms, including 18 suites, and the Presidential and Chairman suites come equipped with full-equipped kitchens and private chef.
Yotel to comes to Abu Dhabi Yotel is to open two sites in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after signing a memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH). Under the deal ADHA will develop two sites on an exclusive basis in the UAE's capital. Yotel will handle the operational and management aspects of the new hotels.
Premier Inn to debut in Oman Budget hotel chain Premier Inn is to debut in Oman, with plans to open at least three sites in the country by 2010. Premier Inn owner Whitbread has signed a joint venture deal with Dubai-based airline Emirates Group. The partners are initially targeting Muscat, Sohar ad Salalah for sites. Whitbread launched a Premier Inn hotel in Dubai earlier this year and plans to have 6,000 rooms across the Gulf region by 2012.
Hilton expands European presence Hilton Hotels Corporation has signed six new hotel development deals, representing more than 1,000 bedrooms, in Europe. Turkey (Hilton Garden Inn), Poland and Italy (Doubletree by Italy) will all see the launch of new Hilton group hotels during the next few years. Hilton currently operates over 165 hotels and 42,000 rooms in Europe, employing more than 23,000 team members. The company plans to add over 150 new hotels to its European portfolio over the next 10 years.
