Some of the hospitality industry's biggest names will be on the hunt for new staff, and will be offering careers and business advice at Hotelympia's careers fair Careers in Hospitality this April.
Premier Inn, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, and the Wine & Spirits Education Trust will be some of the biggest brands advertising vacancies at the careers fair, which will take place at London's ExCel exhibition centre on 28-19 April.
Springboard, Wine & Spirits Education Trust, and the UK Housekeeping Association will also be on hand offering a programme of free seminars, with advice on how to start or develop a career in hospitality.
Experienced individuals will also be on hand for advice, including key programme sessions with chief executive of the Clink Charity, Chris Moore, who will speak about second chances in the industry, and a debate between Sara Edwards, HR director of Tragus Group and Peter Avis, restaurant manager at Babylon Roof Gardens.
There will also be talks for those already in the industry, including a session on how to address staffing problems, with founder of FoodProfitsMembership.com Marcus Kilvington, and customer experience director at SidonaGroup.com, Anne Blackburn.
Young chef April Partridge, who was crowned Hotelympia's "one to watch" two years ago, will also be hosting a dialogue event on employability skills, work experience and apprenticeships, between managing director of Whitbread Hotels & Restaurants Patrick Dempsey, and BHA chief executive Ufi Ibrahim.
This debate will form part of The Big Hospitality Conversation, a joint initiative between the Prince of Wales's charity Business in the Community, the British Hospitality Association (BHA) and industry charity Springboard.
Hotelympia is a show dedicated to the hospitality and foodservice industries, taking place over four days in 2014. It showcases a programme of celebrity interviews, chef demonstrations, seminars, debates and competitions.
Visitors can register for the show in advance at www.hotelympia.com.
