London Stratford Holiday Inn to relaunch as Hyatt dual-branded hotel

The Holiday Inn London – Stratford City is set to be rebranded under two of Hyatt's brands following a management agreement with M&L Hospitality.

Owner Stratford City Hotels, a subsidiary of Singapore-based real estate investment platform M&L Hospitality, plans to relaunch the property as a 225-bedroom Hyatt Regency London Stratford and 127-bedroom Hyatt House London Stratford in the second quarter of the year following an extensive refurbishment. M&L acquired the former Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites dual-branded property in 2013.

“The addition of these two hotels will be another exciting step in growing Hyatt’s brand presence in the UK and in creating a network of hotels across the key commercial and leisure markets in the country,” said Felicity Black Roberts, vice-president of development Europe at Hyatt.

“We worked closely with M&L Hospitality to choose the right brands for the location and are pleased to be continuing our relationship with them following the successful openings of Hyatt Regency Manchester and Hyatt House Manchester in 2019.”

The Hyatt Regency London Stratford will offer 6,673 sq ft of meeting space and a spacious restaurant, bar and open-air terrace. Hyatt House London Stratford will provide modern, apartment-style suites with fully equipped kitchens and flexible workspaces.

“We are pleased to be able to continue our work with Hyatt in the UK,” said Neil Maxwell, chief executive of M&L Hospitality.

“Our strategy focuses on identifying key gateway cities with strong economic growth. Stratford is experiencing a real boom and our plans to introduce these Hyatt House and Hyatt Regency hotels to London will capitalise on this.”

The hotels will join M&L Hospitality’s existing Hyatt properties including Hyatt Regency Manchester and Hyatt House Manchester, and Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport.

Other Hyatt properties in the UK include Hyatt Regency London – the Churchill, Hyatt Regency Birmingham, London’s Great Scotland Yard hotel, Andaz London Liverpool Street, Hyatt Place West London Hayes, Hyatt Centric Cambridge and Hyatt Place London City East.
