Hasham Soliman has been appointed area general manager for St Martins Lane hotel in London’s West End and the Sanderson London in Fitzrovia.
Both hotels come under Ennismore’s Morgans Originals portfolio of independent hotels, which also includes the Mondrian Shoreditch and the upcoming Hyde London City.
The 203-room St Martins Lane and the 150-room Sanderson were created by French designer Philippe Starck.
Soliman has 30 years’ experience in the London luxury hotel industry, having overseen seven hotel openings, four of which resulted in his appointment as general manager.
He was most recently cluster general manager for Dominus Real Estate, where he launched Lost Property – St Paul’s, a Curio Collection hotel by Hilton, and the Dixon – Tower Bridge, an Autograph Collection hotel by Marriott.
He has also held roles at Park Plaza Westminster and InterContinental London, the O2.
Soliman said: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of the Morgans Originals team. Being able to work across both the iconic St Martins Lane and luxury Sanderson London, both famed for their individuality and style, not only excites me, but inspires me too.
“After a tumultuous few years for hospitality, where we saw the industry change drastically, it’s so thrilling to be back at full force and welcoming guests from all around the world. This, teamed with the energy and vibrancy of both hotels, makes for a great platform that I’m excited to build on.”
