Harbour Hotels is set to open its second property in Salcombe, Devon, in spring 2021, six years after it kick started the redevelopment of the Tides Reach hotel.
The group, which numbers 15 properties across the south of England, will launch the new-build 50-bedroom hotel as the Harbour Beach Club overlooking South Sands beach. It will become a sister hotel to the 50-bedroom Salcombe Hotel & Spa, which is located in the heart of the seaside town.
The site was bought by Harbour Hotels in 2015 from Eden Hotel Collection after Eden abandoned the project to redevelop Tides Reach due to local opposition.
Harbour Beach Club will feature a restaurant, luxury spa with five treatment rooms and indoor pool, spa café and terrace with a beach bar. It will also have a focus on water sports, including kayaking.
South Sands is located to the south of Salcombe and guests will be able to reach the town centre by the South Sands ferry.
