James, Tristan and Tom Guest are set to launch hotel brand GuestHouse with the reopening of No 15 Great Pulteney on 17 May.
The new upscale brand will feature historic buildings in city centre locations each with their own ‘colourful and creative’ characters and interiors by British designers, with a York hotel set to open in the autumn and a third property in Brighton next year.
The first-time hoteliers bought the 40-bedroom No.15 Great Pulteney in Bath from Ian and Christa Taylor in 2019 and have brought in designer Martin Hulbert to revisit the interiors he originally conceived, with a makeover for the spa, two suites and the restaurant, which will champion ‘wild British’ cuisine.
Due to open in the autumn will be No 1 Clifton, a Grade II-listed Regency townhouse in York, with a Brighton outpost to open in 2022 at No 124 Kingsroad, a neoclassical, Georgian-style building on the seafront, parts of which are Grade II-listed.
Growth of the brand across further UK cities is expected.
