Greg Clarke appointed head chef at Pidgin

Greg Clarke is set to join Pidgin restaurant in London's Hackney as head chef on 11 March.

Clarke was previously head chef of 108 Garage in Notting Hill but departed the restaurant after only one month. He replaces Adolfo De Cecco at Pidgin, who is planning to open his own restaurant.

Prior to joining 108 Garage, Clarke worked as a development chef at Daniel Clifford's Midsummer House in Cambridge, as head chef at the Typing Room restaurant at the Town Hall hotel in London, and co-founded pop-up restaurant Dead Rabbits.

He also worked as a sous chef at Tom Aikens' restaurant in London, as a senior chef de partie at the Ledbury, at Restaurant Martin Wishart in Edinburgh, and as a chef de partie at Le Gavroche.

Pidgin was opened in 2015 by James Ramsden and Sam Herlihy, who also opened Magpie off Regent Street in 2017. The formerly Michelin-starred Pidgin offers a four-course menu that changes every week.
