Grantley Hall to open this weekend

Luxury country house hotel Grantley Hall will welcome its first guests this weekend following a three-year, multimillion-pound renovation of the Grade II*-listed historic property.

The much-anticipated 47-bedroom Yorkshire hotel, owned by Valeria Sykes, opens on 6 July with a culinary offering including Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall; the pan-Asian EightyEight restaurant; the more relaxed all-day dining restaurant Fletchers, overseen by Craig Atchinson; the Drawing Room; and Valeria's Champagne and cocktail bar.

The property also features a Three Graces Spa and a luxury gym, including an 18-metre indoor swimming pool, indoor-to-outdoor hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and snow room.

State-of-the-art staff accommodation will be available in the new Courtyard Building, featuring 47 en suite bedrooms, several kitchens, informal lounge areas, a cinema room and a fully-equipped gymnasium with fitness classes including yoga and mindfulness.

General manager Andrew McPherson said: "I'm so incredibly proud to be part of such a special project, working closely with Valeria and the Sykes family and the team to deliver a truly exceptional hotel experience in this magnificent part of the UK."

Rooms at Grantley Hall will start from £345 per room per night including breakfast.

Grantley Hall was built by Thomas Norton and his son Fletcher Norton, first Baron Grantley, in the 17th century, based on a Palladian design by English architect Isaac Ware.
