One Devonshire Gardens by Hotel du Vin in Glasgow has appointed Gary Townsend as head chef.
He arrived at the hotel following the departure of Barry Duff, who was executive head chef. He had been with Hotel du Vin for 11 years.
Townsend joined the four-AA-star, 49-bedroom One Devonshire Gardens from Cameron House on Loch Lomond, where he was head chef for 19 months. He previously worked for five years as sous chef at Restaurant Martin Wishart also in Loch Lomond and has enjoyed stints at Tuddenham Mill, L'Enclume, Restaurant Sat Bains and Hibiscus.
Townsend said: "One Devonshire Gardens has an incredible reputation built over a number of years and I look forward to joining them on this next stage of the hotel's development. I am passionate about classical cooking and am always looking at new techniques, developing new flavours and ideas."
One Devonshire Gardens is one of 17 hotels in the Hotel du Vin brand across the UK.
