Fred Sirieix has announced the opening of a second Right Course restaurant at HMP Wormwood Scrubs in early April.
The operation, which will include a coffee shop and a full table service restaurant, will be the second venue to run the programme, which aims to set up fully functioning restaurants run by prisoners for them to gain qualifications as well as service, cooking and business skills so that, on release, they can gain employment in the hospitality industry.
Sirieix set up the first Right Course restaurant in 2017 in HMP Belmarsh in Thamesmead.
The Clink runs a similar programme – Al Crisci launched the first Clink restaurant at HMP Sutton in 2009 and it was announced last week that the programme will be expanded across up to 70 prisons in the UK.
