London-based restaurant operator the First Restaurant Group is to launch a new restaurant next month which will run for six months of the year.
The Summerhouse, which will run from April to October, will be located along the banks of Little Venice's canal in Maida Vale featuring a nautical theme and serving a menu focused seafood. The 60-cover restaurant will be located near the First Restaurant Group's Waterway and will offer its own boat mooring space.
Once closed in October, the Summerhouse will become a dedicated events space until reopening next spring.
The restaurant will have a light and airy décor inspired by Long Island seafront houses, while the menu will offer dishes including New England clam chowder, popcorn shrimp with sweet chilli sauce and a signature Summerhouse fish pie.
First Restaurant Group managing director Mitchell Tillman said:" Most pop-up restaurants only last for a matter of weeks but ours will be a six-month feature of the great British summertime for many more years to come."
The First Restaurant Group owns a group of six restaurants including Taman Gangs in London and New Delhi as well as Tom Etridge's old pubs the Waterway, the Ebury and the Running horse and four Harry Morgan deli restaurants.
