Incipio Group has announced it has taken on the former Giant Robot street food market site in London’s Canary Wharf, with plans to turn it into the first permanent Pergola.
Set to open on 2 June, Pergola on the Wharf will be the brand’s first bricks-and-mortar site following pop-ups Pergola Paddington, the Prince and Lost in Brixton.
The venue’s wraparound terrace will have capacity for 200 guests, while the venue’s total capacity will be 700.
There will be three bars and a year-round in-house food offering, as well as a separate kitchen which will host a rotating series of guest chefs spotlighting new concepts. A roster of DJs will also make regular appearances, and the venue has a licence to host live bands.
Pergola on the Wharf will have several areas available for private hire for both corporate and non-corporate guests, including a semi private area available to book for up to 150 people, offering access to the outdoor terrace and an island bar, a semi private dining room bookable for 14 guests seated/35 standing, and areas for smaller groups of 10 available to book throughout the venue.
Giant Robot was operated under Street Feast by Jonathan Downey’s London Union, which will be reopening Model Market in Lewisham next Friday.
