Anna Jackson has headed up a batch of internal managerial appointments at boutique hotel group Firmdale Hotels, following her promotion from group operations manager to group operations director.
She has moved into the same role within the portfolio of 10 hotels occupied by Carrie Wicks, who left the company in January 2016 and is now chief executive of Leeu Collection.
Jackson joined Firmdale 13 years ago as front office manager at the Pelham, which is now no longer part of Firmdale Hotels. After moving on to deputy general manager and general manager roles at the Knightsbridge, Charlotte Street and Soho hotels, she was appointed group operations manager last year.
Other recent appointments include the promotion of Jason Phillips from deputy general manager to hotel manager at the Soho hotel; Charlotte Oberg, who has moved from front of house manager to deputy general manager at the Soho hotel; and Nick Hamdy, from general manager at the Charlotte Street hotel to deputy general manager at the new Whitby hotel in New York.
Meanwhile, Max Jonas, who started at Firmdale as a luggage porter at the Charlotte Street hotel, has moved up from deputy general manager to general manager at Crosby Street, the groupâs first hotel in New York.
Founded by husband and wife team Tim and Kit Kemp, Firmdale Hotels owns and operates eight properties in London and two in New York.
