The Dorchester Collection has guaranteed the salaries of all employees across its properties and will be topping up wages for furloughed staff.
The group – which includes the Dorchester and 45 Park Lane in London and Coworth Park in Ascot, Berkshire in the UK – said it was guaranteeing all jobs during the coronavirus crisis. All hotels in the UK have closed with the exception of those accommodating key workers, homeless people and permanent residents.
Christopher Cowdray, chief executive of the Dorchester Collection, said: “As our employees are our greatest asset and we are grateful for their long-term loyalty, we have guaranteed all jobs and protected salaries at Dorchester Collection. This global crisis is taking its toll on us all, and we remain vigilant, carefully monitoring the rapidly changing situation and adapting accordingly to the specialist advice.”
