Head chef Danny Parker has announced he will be leaving the Michelin-starred House of Tides.
Parker joined the restaurant ahead of its opening in February 2014 to work under chef-patron Kenny Atkinson. The restaurant has since won a Michelin star, three AA rosettes and the 2015 Catey Newcomer Award.
He will be leaving the restaurant in two months.
Parker wrote on social media: "After four and a half years of service at House of Tides, it is with a heavy heart that I must say it is time for me to move on to pastures new. This has been a massive decision for me both personally and professionally. I would like to thank Kenny and Abbie for their support and guidance, they have helped me become the chef I am today.
"My next move will be announced in the near future but for now, I will continue to push forward at House of Tides trying to make it better and better every single day."
Parker will also be taking part in this year's Great British Menu on BBC Two, competing in the North East region.
